London-born lyric soprano Rebecca Reid is a passionate performer and vocal educator, known for her warm, expressive tone and dedication to musical storytelling. Trained under the renowned Michelle Wegwart (Opéra Bastille, Bolshoi Theatre, Zurich Opera, and Salzburg Festival)—Rebecca has developed a voice that blends elegance, lyrical beauty, and emotional depth.

A devoted admirer of Puccini, Rebecca’s artistry is shaped by a love for operatic repertoire that demands both vocal finesse and heartfelt connection. Her operatic journey includes work with York Opera, where she understudied the role of Josephine in H.M.S. Pinafore, and performances in The Magic Flute and Tales of Kings & Queens. Beyond the operatic stage, Rebecca has performed as a soloist across Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire in concerts and events, including appearances at York Unitarian Chapel and prestigious occasions such as the Mayor of Newark Ceremony.

Rebecca is also an experienced singing teacher and certified Vocal Health First Aider at the Rebecca Reid Singing Studio, where she combines her deep understanding of vocal technique with a compassionate, health-first approach. Her teaching philosophy centers on helping singers of all levels find their unique voices while building confidence, skill, and vocal longevity.

Rebecca’s academic journey includes a Master's in Music Education (Instrumental and Vocal Teaching) from the University of York and a Graduate Diploma of Music from the University of Leeds, underscoring her commitment to both performance and education. Her vocal training began with Elizabeth Varnham-Phillips and Faye Newton, later flourishing under Michelle Wegwart’s expert mentorship.
